The Broadway Education Alliance is a private, non-profit organization formed to increase access and opportunities for people of all ages to engage in the performing arts.  The organization is committed to helping content producers, theatrical libraries, author estates and other rights holders make their properties relevant and accessible to K-12 schools through state-of-the-art distance learning technologies. BEA encourages entrepreneurship and innovation in the field of theatre arts education and cultural studies by building partnerships and creative collaborations between industry stakeholders, artists and arts institutions. The organization focuses its expertise and resources on supporting programs and services that enable parents and educators to engage and inspire creativity in today’s media-savvy youth. The National High School Musical Theater Awards is a national celebration of outstanding student achievement in high school musical theater. The program focuses much needed attention on the meaningful work being done by today’s dedicated teachers and celebrate real kids with wide ranging talents on and off the stage regardless of their career aspirations. Established by the Pittsburgh CLO and Nederlander Alliances, LLC, this program recognizes individual artistry in vocal, dance and acting performance, as well as honors teachers and their schools’ commitment to excellence in performing arts education.
